Forsbergs G:a Handelsbod
A cultural-historical gem in the middle of Råne Älvdal. Visit the wholesaler’s villa in Gunnarsbyn, where time has stood still since 1934.
That year Carl Forsberg died and the house was abandoned as a residential building, the store that was housed downstairs had already been closed down the year before 1933. The remaining stock was then carried out to the lodge, where it has remained ever since. Right in the lodge, wholesale has now been revived based on this stock. The residential building appears in the 1920s and 1930s, all with original furniture, clothes, shoes, hats, crockery and lots more.
At Forsbergs you can take a guided tour of the house. Where you will hear the fantastic story of the house and those who lived and worked there. In the garden, you can have a wonderful coffee with goodies baked on recipes from cookbooks from the farm.
