The indoor water park NordPoolen in Boden has become a favourite with locals as well as with returning tourists. Here, the weather is always good for bathing and spirits are always high, on both cold winter days and rainy summer days alike. High-speed slides or restful relaxation? Bubbles, sauna or just lots and lots of swimming for the whole family? Welcome to NordPoolen.
At NordPoolen, the temperature is tropical throughout all seasons. The water park is popular all year round and not without good reason. As soon as you come inside, one thing hits you: it’s fun to be here! You will find bathing for everyone, children and parents, old and young alike, even for the very youngest. Children love the water park and can entertain themselves for hours. Nordpoolen is also an easy place to go to. Large yet small it is safe too and easy to get a good overview. It is conveniently located in central Boden with good bus connections and parking just outside.
The stream, steam sauna, climbing wall, or outdoor swimming in the cold midwinter?
Follow the stream into the cave, just float downstream. For those of you who wish to take a warming break, you can get up out of the stream whilst in the cave and sit inside the cosy little steam sauna. Climb to the top of the climbing wall, let go and fall backwards into the water. How many climbing walls let you do that? Experience the outdoor pool, stand up and enjoy the contrast between the bitingly cold air and the warm water.
You are thrown back and forth in the sharp twists and turns and the wild, thundering water.
Follow the rapids or fall freely!
To many, Vildforsen (the Wild Rapids) is NordPoolen’s coolest attraction and number one favourite. It is actually like going white water rafting indoors. Without a kayak, of course. You are thrown back and forth in the sharp twists and turns and the wild, thundering water. As soon as you land in the pool at the end, you will want nothing more than to get back and throw yourself into the rapids again.
The Fall lives up to its name, however, “Freefall” might have been a better name for the attraction. Hold each other’s hands as you swoosh down the wide, steep slide. The only bad thing is that The Fall has an ending, but then you can easily have another go and another and another!
Swimming pool complex, Jacuzzi, or cosying up at the café?
For those a little older there is a relaxing swimming pool complex. Enjoy swimming a couple of lengths whilst the children play their excess energy away. Here you will also find a trampoline and a diving tower for older children looking to work on their acrobatics. Adjacent to the swimming pool complex there is also a calmer, shallower pool, perfect for the very youngest, or for a moment of relaxation. Alternatively you can go sit in one of our Jacuzzis. In the smaller one, you have a great view of the water park and you can wave to your children. A visit to NordPoolen usually means a couple of visits to the café. No need to change clothes or stop bathing though, the café is conveniently located right in the middle of the water park.
Ready, set, go!
The green water slide gives a real adrenaline rush – it’s not for the faint hearted. Challenge yourself and others and beat the record of the day, or the record of all time. That’s a holiday memory that will last you a lifetime!
Here you can hear music and enjoy shifting colours as you wind your way through the curves and corners of the slide.
The orange slide is a bit calmer but still an exciting experience. Here you can hear music and enjoy shifting colours as you wind your way through the curves and corners of the slide. For our youngest swimmers there are great, shallow waters and the highly appreciated Junior Slide. Everyone should get to feel the rush of a great water slide.
Relaxation for grown-ups with a steam sauna, Jacuzzi and outdoor pool on the roof terrace
For our adult visitors, nothing beats the relaxation area on the second floor. Here, you can relax for real in a soothing environment with a sauna, Jacuzzi, steam sauna and an outdoor pool on the terrace. When visiting our relaxation area, you are of course allowed to visit all the other parts of NordPoolen.
Here you will find experiences and bathing for all ages, seasons and weathers. Welcome to the NordPoolen water park!
